शिष्य के माथे पर उभरी उलझन को पढ़ते हुए स्वयं गुरू ही पूछ बैठे, ‘क्या हुआ, वत्स? इतनी दुविधा में क्यों दिख रहे हो?‘ शिष्य जैसे इसी क्षण की प्रतीक्षा कर रहा था। अपनी हिचकिचाहट को दूर करते हुए बोला - ’गुरूदेव, एक शिष्य के लिए अपने व्यक्तित्व को बे-दाग रखना कितना महत्वपूर्ण होना चाहिए?‘
’महत्वपूर्ण नहीं, अति महत्वपूर्ण!‘ - गुरूदेव दृढ़ स्वर में बोले - ‘शिष्य को निरंतर प्रयासरत रहना चाहिए कि उसका चरित्र बे-दाग रहे। यदि परिस्थिति कीचड़ में चलने की भी आए, तो भी ध्यान रहे कि उसके व्यक्तित्व पर कीचड़ की एक बूंद तक नहीं लगने पाए।‘
‘पर गुरूदेव, हमसे गलतियां तो होती रहती है। क्या करें?‘ शिष्य ने धीमे स्वर में अपने मन का विचार रखा। उधर गुरू को समझने में देर न लगी कि शिष्य को बात किसी और तरीके से समझानी पड़ेगी। उन्हांेने तुरंत शिष्य को काले और सफेद रंग से भरी दो शीशियां लाने को कहा। फिर कहने लगे- ‘अब काले रंग की कुछ बूदें सफेद रंग से भरी शीशी में डाल दो। ‘शिष्य ने गुरू - आज्ञा को पूर्ण किया।
गुरूदेव मुस्कुराते हुए अच्छा बताओं क्या अब तुम्हें सफेद रंग में कुछ बदलाव दिखा?
शिष्य - गुरूदेव, सफेद रंग में अब वह चमक नहीं रही, जो शुरू में थी। काले रंग की बंूदों के कारण अब यह मैला सा दिख रहा है।
गुरूदेव - वत्स, इसी तरह साधक के धवल व्यक्तित्व पर छिटकी त्रुटियांे की काली बूंदें उसे मैला कर देती है। इसीलिए शिष्य को सदा सतर्क रहना चाहिए।
शिष्य - क्षमा चाहता हूं गुरूदेव! किंतु जो कालापन आ चुका है, उसको हटाने का क्या समाधान है?
गुरूदेव - बहुत सीधा व सरल उपाय है। जैसे इस शीशी के भीतर के श्वेत रंग को काले रंग की बूंदों ने अशुद्व या मिश्रित रंग को श्वेत रंग से भरी किसी बड़ी शीशी में उड़ेल दें, तो इससे वह फिर से वही श्वेत शुद्वता को प्राप्त कर लेगा। कुछ समझे वत्स? ......... इसका मतलब कि शिष्य को यदि अपने चरित्र पर लग चुके दागो का हटाना है, तो उसको ऐसे स्त्रो से जुड़ जाना होगा जो सदा निर्मल है, सदा विशुद्व है। साधना की शाश्वत विधि के द्वारा अंतर्जगत में वास करने वाली परम सता पर ध्यान लगाना होगा। जितना तुम ध्यान लगाओगे, उतना ही तुम्हारे कर्मो, संस्कारों, अवगुणों और त्रुटियांे की कालिख धुलती जाएगी। तुम्हारा व्यक्तित्व व चरित्र धवलता से चमक उठेगा।
पाठकगणों, महाभारत के शांति पर्व के 163वें अध्याय में भीष्म पितामह युधिष्ठिर को 12 अवगुणों से परिचित कराते है - क्रोध, कामुकता, ईष्र्या, अविवके, दुसरों का बुरा चाहना, कपट, दिखावा, संदेह, लांछन लगाना, बैर, निर्दयता और आलस्या। इनके कारण से हमारी साधकता दागी हो जाती है, और अपने लक्ष्य ईश्वर से कोसों दूर! गुरू-शिष्य का उक्त वार्तालाप हमें साधक-जीवन का महामंत्र दे रहा है। यही कि जीवन पर्यन्त गलतियांे से बचे। पक यदि भूल से कभी भूल हो जाए, कोई अवगुण हावी हो जाए, तो साधना के शस्त्र से उस पर प्रहार करें।

He immediately asked the disciple to bring two vials filled with black and white colors. Then started saying - "Now put some black pieces in a vial filled with white. The disciple fulfilled the Guru's command.

Disciple - Gurudev, she is no longer glowing in the white color that she used to have. Now it looks a bit sloppy due to the black droplets.
Gurudev - Vatsa, similarly black drops of errors thrown on the seeker's Dhaval personality make him muddy. That is why the disciple should always be vigilant.
Disciple - I apologize Gurudev! But what is the solution to remove the blackness that has arrived?
Gurudev - Very simple and simple solution. For example, if the black droplets inside the vial pour the black color into a large vial filled with impure or mixed color, it will regain the same white purity. Got something? This means that if the disciple has to remove the stains on his character, then he has to be associated with such a woman who is always pure, always pure. Through the eternal method of cultivation, meditation has to be focused on the ultimate haunting. The more you focus, the more your soot, rites, demerits and errors will be washed away. Your personality and character will shine brightly.

That is to avoid mistakes throughout life. If the puck ever gets forgotten by mistake, if any demerit dominates, then hit it with the weapon of cultivation.
